Oversee the performance of licensing and equity deals worth over $50 million by collaborating with corporate comptrollership, attorneys and the mergers & acquisitions group.  Analyze patents and patent applications on business methods, risk management, fraud prevention and payment systems. Advise inventors regarding the patentability of internally developed, technology-based business solutions. Also advise business units on the rights and obligations imposed by technology licensing agreements. Monitor developments in patent law and technology transfer and report findings in written memoranda. Evaluate the company’s patent portfolio in view of competitors and dominant assignees.
